I had thought of that myself Liz! It is probably a fair assumption as in act 1, Angie does seem set on the idea, and is very sheepish when questioned about Joyce in Act 2.
Though there is no solid evidence, I think the way Andrea has played it so far, it could be fairly assumed. Does that change anything in the way that it is performed then if we are working on that assumption?
There is a thought that the final words from Angie at the end of the play are off the back of Angie having some sort of a premonition of killing her mum, and the end of act 3 would seem much more sad. hmmmm

Theme - loss
I will attempt to explain the themes we have explored so far throughout the play. In this piece I will talk about the theme of Loss.
Loss: Loss resonates throughout the play. Almost every character seems to have experienced loss, which has affected their lives in some way:
The loss of a child is the main loss we hear about throughout the play.
Marlene: loses Angie to Joyce which was her own choice, but clearly comes back to haunt her later in life. It is only when she is getting too old to have a child she regrets the decision
Joyce: reveals that she had a miscarriage as a result of being too tired whist bringing up Marlenes child - maybe her main reason for the loss of love for her sister.
All of the historical characters with the exception of Isabella have lost a child or children - and are all affected to different extents. Its quite shocking to see the detached nature in which Lady Nijo and Griselda initially describe the loss of their children - and to how much more tragic it was to have lost a boy over a girl..
Pope Joan's loss of a child doesnt seem to be as important as the child revealing that she was a woman and resluting in the demise of her position as a Pope and her death.
Kit's loss of innocence is revealed when she shows Angie she has started her period - does this reveal that Angie is the one to lead Kit from innocence?
Win and Nell 's loss is of a job oppurtunity. Marlene is promoted above them and as a result the girls are left fighting for the next promotion.
